Hi everyone, I am Celia, I am Mallika, today we are going to talk about different types of touchscreens, their features and differences between them.

So first, what are touch screens? Touch screens are a very common form of input device. They allow simple touch to launch an application or to carry out many of the functions of pointing devices such as a mouse.

Types of touch screens

There are 3 main type of touch screens (that we learned in our IGCSE textbooks), Capacitive touchscreens, infrared touchscreens and resistive touchscreens. It's ok -- you don't need to remember their names, we will go through them together one by one.
